Archaeologists, paleontologists, historians, and the Friends of Big Bone will provide interpretive commentary on the Ice Age, Native Americans, mammal fossils, as well as geology and native vegetation of the area. You will also have the opportunity to visit an 1800’s-era campsite. Bring artifacts and fossils to be identified by experts. Tours will take place throughout the day and will begin beside the Visitor Center. Free and open to the public.
