Are you interested in Kentucky History? Are you intrigued by paranormal activity? Join the park staff and a real "live" paranormal investigative team at the park on Friday, October 13th to experience all of the history that E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Has to offer!
The land that the park now resides on used to be the home of a state hospital, now known as Central State Hospital. The park grounds are still full of historical areas and artifacts left from that era. After a brief history presentation and explanation of past paranormal activity, you and a group of other amateur investigators will be given a map of the points of interest, and will meet up with a paranormal investigator at each location to seek further evidence of the paranormal activity at the park.
The areas that will be investigated include the cave storage, the old dairy barn facility, the hospital cemeteries, and the area where the hospital used to exist. Each area will be staffed with at least one experienced paranormal investigator with their own high tech equipment. Participants are welcome to bring cameras, voice recorders, EMF meters, and other investigative equipment. Flash photography may be limited at times during the event.
This is a pre-registered event. The fee is $25/person.
Meet at the Sawyer Hayes Community Center. Refreshments will be available at 8:30 p.m. The event will begin at 9:00 p.m. and end at 12:30 a.m. Children under the ages of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 years of age or older.
