DETAILS:

The Friends of Audubon and the John James Audubon State Park Museum are proud to present nationally known Artist and Instructor, Kathie George, and her extraordinary 3-day workshop! Sign-up today to participate in this April 17-19, 2018 workshop, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. each day. You'll put wax and watercolors on textured rice paper and presto! Fun--guaranteed to energize your paintings! Kathie will lead you step-by-step through the layering process, until you begin to wonder just how thick this wax can get... Remove the wax, and it's like unwrapping a wonderful Christmas gift! We get a bit messy, but we have fun. Great watercolor skills are not needed for this technique. Building a great batik requires SHAPE and VALUE.  More techniques will be offered as well. The fee for this workshop is $300. A supply list will be given out upon sign-up.
