"Open mike" jam sessions

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is inviting all musicians to "open mike" jam sessions every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in January, February and March. Participants and guests are invited to arrive early for a country dinner in our restaurant at the lodge. Dinner will be served 5-8 p.m. Jam sessions will run from 6-9 p.m. For more information, call the park at 1-800-325-0058.

Buckhorn Lake Annual Cleanup

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park's annual cleanup begins with registration from 8:30 a.m.- 9:00 a.m. at the Marina. Cleanup will be from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided to all partipants from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Drawing for door prizes will be during lunch. National Public Lands Day

Although geared to scout groups, who can earn patches, any child or adult is welcome to participate in National Public Lands Day at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park. We will have a mini lake cleanup, sessions on "Leave No Trace" and "Project Learning Tree" and plant trees. Activities will take place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with registration occurring at 8:30 a.m. One should dress appropriately for being out in the elements. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided during the cleanup.
