Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park is a picture of rural serenity set above the banks of the Licking River in the rolling hills of northeastern Kentucky. With a total of 5,834 square feet of meeting space – three individual rooms – this is the perfect facility for small training classes or staff retreats.

Meeting attendees enjoy the natural beauty of the park by walking or hiking on trails or by just sitting on the balcony or patio of their lodge room watching local wildlife. Others enjoy our Jr. Olympic size outdoor pool and 18-hole mini golf course. For the adventure seekers, add an overnight canoe trip to your agenda. Shoppers in your group will love the unique gifts and Kentucky Crafted products featured in our gift shop. Of course, everyone loves our Pioneer Museum and Hidden Waters Restaurant. We truly offer something for everyone!

A Quick Peek

32 Guest Rooms, 26 rooms have 2 double size beds, 3 have single queen size beds, and 3 have single king size beds and 2 versatile guest suites. All 32 lodge rooms are complete with hair dryers, iron and ironing boards, coffee-maker, television and a patio or balcony. The guest suites also contain a mini-fridge and microwave. Amenities in all rooms include the following: soap, shampoo & our own John Conti Bluegrass Blend Coffee.

Two newly renovated executive cottages: Each containing 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room, and deck overlooking the Licking River. Each cottage also contains a modern, full-size, completely equipped kitchen perfect for entertaining.

All accommodations now have electronic key cards for better security.

Pets are not allowed (with the exception of service dogs).

Our Meeting Space totals 5,834 sq. ft. (Arlington 1,792 sq. ft., Daniel Boone Room 2,250 sq. ft., Pavilion Room 1,792 sq. ft.).

Arlington Room –Located on the main level of the lodge adjacent to the restaurant. This spacious room with its wide sunny windows is a wonderful backdrop for your training. Seating up to 143 guests—your attendees will be more than productive.

Daniel Boone Room– Located on the lower level opening onto a private patio with a view of the woods. The stone fireplace sets the ambiance for the perfect staff retreat. Seats up to 140 guests.

Pavilion Room—Located on the lower level. One hundred and twenty-three guests fit comfortably in this classic room.

Meeting rooms are incredibly versatile and a wide variety of catering options exist. Our chef will personally work with you to plan out your meals, menu, party, etc. within your budget—meeting all expectations.

The Hidden Waters Restaurant, located on the main level of the Worthington Lodge, welcomes guests into a spacious dining room with a high-beamed wood ceiling, stone fireplace, and beautiful views. Serving a fabulous new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu which features everything from the traditional Kentucky fare and Hot Brown to great new appetizers and entrees, such as fried green tomatoes, Bird of Paradise Salad, and Buffalo T-Bone Steak. Our new menus combine the standard favorites with some exciting new flavors.

Blue Licks is honored to have Chef Horace Moore “cooking” in the kitchen. Chef Moore has 7 years of hotel experience and 30 years of country club experience. He even owned his own restaurant.

Park Naturalist Paul Tierney offers a variety of programming and interesting trips, such as the following:

Overnight canoe trips, teambuilding exercises, bingo, owl prowl, arts & crafts, cemetery walk, nature walk on park trails, campfire program, slide programs, folk musician, scavenger hunt, mini golf, van tour of park and area, Pioneers: How’d they do it?, history lessons, pottery classes, archery classes, and too many other programs and activities to list.

Paul is smart, funny, creative and incredibly talented. Simply let him know what your group is interested in or trying to accomplish and he will be happy to create a program just for you! A nominal fee does apply and prices may vary depending on the group size. Transportation must be provided by groups larger than 12 people.
