Eagle Watch Weekend's 2009
1/16 to 1/17, 1/23 to 1/24 and 2/20 to 2/21

Looking for an unforgettable encounter with nature? Why not visit us for an opportunity to view America’s national symbol, the Bald Eagle, in its natural habitat? Our Eagle Weekends are devoted to the observation, education, and conservation of our national symbol.

We will be working with the KY Dept. of Fish & Wildlife and Trooper Island to provide you with a weekend you won't soon forget. Each weekend, we will offer guided boat tours on Dale Hollow Lake to view these majestic birds in the wild and educational programs such as a live birds of prey program. Hook or Hike Day
6/6/2009

Dale Hollow is celebrating “Free Fishing Weekend" and National Trails Days on June 6, 2009. Borrow a fishing pole from the recreation department for FREE to hook a fish, or hike part of our 15 miles of trails. Several programs such as “Learn How to Fish”, Leave No Trace, and guided hikes will be offered throughout the day to interpret the history, wildlife, and ecology of the park. Independance Day Celebration
7/3/2009 to 7/5/2009

Celebrate Independence Day with us July 3-5, 2009! We will offer various July 4th games and crafts throughout the weekend. Friday night you can show us your talent at our Karaoke contest where aucdience members cast their vote for their favorite. Saturday show your American pride with a red, white, & blue tie-dye t-shirt($5 per shirt), join our Independence Day non-motorized parade, or participate in our Family Fun Day where families compete in a variety of obstacle courses and games. Saturday night relax and see the magic of Dale Hollow with Doug Doolin the magician. Sunday night see the wild side of the park at the live animal program with the Kentucky Environmental Education Company. Don't miss out on this fun filled weekend to celebrate our Independance.

Haunted Hollow Hotel

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park dares you to enter on October 30-31, 2008. Brave souls can experience first hand the horrors deep within the woods of the hollow on our guided haunted woods. Haunted hikes will venture out Friday & Saturday night beginning at 7:00 pm and going approximately every half hour until midnight($). This tour is not recommended for small children. Other fun activities will be offered throughout the day on Saturday such as pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, campsite decorating contest, and hayrides($). Beginners Caving Weekend
11/13/2009 to 11/15/2009

Dale Hollow Lake State Park will be hosting their second Beginners Caving Expedition. Whether you are a beginning spelunker or an experienced caver, you will enjoy this weekend packed full of exploration and education. Learn the basics of caving and many other mysteries about these underground worlds through presentations and hands on experience. Presentations will be given on karst studies, cave mapping, cave grottos, environmental education, and other aspects about caves. Guided cave tours through various caves on the park, surface hikes, and children’s activities will be offered. The fee for the weekend is $25 per adult and $15 per child (6-12). This fee includes all programs, tours, and a t-shirt. This is a weekend fun for every member of the family who enjoys adventure! Caving related vendors will be allowed to set up a booth for $15 (w/ electric $25).
