Feature Summer Program – Overnight Canoe Trips on Upper Dewey Lake

If you have never seen these magnificent animals back in the hills of eastern Kentucky or if you already have and just love to view them, Jenny Wiley State Resort Park has the tour for you. There are openings for the 2008 season left, but hurry, spots are being filled up everyday. Call us or check out the Parks website for details on dates available.

Trail Information

Due to Natural Gas Line work, the Mountain Bike Trails pose a little more difficulty level as before. The Moss Ridge and Steve Brackett Memorial trails are offering the best sighting for Wildflower Watchers, also, along the road leading from the May Lodge to the cottage area.

Meet Your Naturalist & Recreation Staff

Hello, my name is Trinity Shepherd and I have been the Park Naturalist at Jenny Wiley State Resort Park since November 2005. I started my park career here at Jenny Wiley as a seasonal Naturalist in 2001 and 2002. I am a native of Magoffin County, Kentucky and a graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Outdoor Recreation and minor in Criminology. Come by and see the Interpretive Nature Center while you’re here, but keep your eyes open, you just might see one of our resident Elk.
