Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is a picturesque retreat center nestled within the beautiful hardwoods of one of the largest state forests in Kentucky. Conveniently located near Hopkinsville in the western part of the state, we offer contemporary meeting facilities, lodging, fine dining and recreation tailored to your group’s needs.

24 Lodge Rooms: 22 rooms with 2 double beds, 2 rooms with 1 queen bed. Lodge rooms are complete with hair dryers, irons & ironing boards, coffee-maker, 27” television, reading chair, all purpose table, dresser and night stand. Amenities include: soap, shampoo & Bluegrass Blend Coffee.
6 One-bedroom cottages:-Three with a lake view and three with gas fireplaces.
Bedding:1-1 double, 1-1 queen, 2-2 queens and 2-2 doubles
6 Two–bedroom cottages:- 5 with lake view.
Bedding:1-2 doubles,1-3 doubles and 4-4 doubles.
The lodge and cottages were partially renovated in 2006.
All cottages have microwaves, tableware, cooking utensils, fresh linens daily, carpeting and charcoal grills.
Pets are not allowed (with the exception of service dogs).
2 Meeting Rooms: Total of 2,519 square feet of meeting space
4 Shelters: 1 shelter has electric, water, and restrooms.
Campground: 68 Sites (all have electric and water) with central bath house/laundry
Clifty Creek Restaurant, located in the main lodge, seats 200, including private dining room for up to 80. The new menu features Kentucky cuisine. Buffets provided at chef’s discretion based on the number of guests and groups in-house.
Our Executive Chef Charles Underwood has over 30 years experience in the food service industry. He spent 17 years with the Hyatt Regency Hotels in Lexington, KY and Atlanta, GA where he received several awards for outstanding service. He has been with Kentucky State Parks for the last 8 years. Chef Charles’ specialties include gourmet cooking, fine dining as well as good ole’ down home food.
Event menu is available for banquets and receptions. Cookouts (shelters and lake overlook area) and working lunches also are available.
