Kentucky Department of Parks

Pine Mountain State Resort ParkA spectacular mountaintop wonderland overlooking the Kentucky Ridge State Forest, became Kentucky’s first state park in 1924.

One of the finest conference centers in the park system is found at this beautiful mountain resort. Meetings, conferences and conventions bloom to perfection in the Laurel and Azalea Rooms of the C.V. Whitney Convention Center. Named for the native flowering plants, the two rooms can be combined to serve 300 guests. The Ray Harm Room is perfect alternative for smaller groups, featuring prints by the noted nature artist and an expansive view of the surrounding mountains.

Perhaps the best meeting space just may be the new championship 18-hole golf course, designed by internationally recognized golf course architect Michael Hurdzan. The name of the course,"Wasioto (wah see OH toh) Winds,” comes from a Shawnee word meaning “Valley of the Deer".
