Group Field Trips

The Recreation Department at Rough River has many programs that can be tailored to fit your school group. We offer water safety programs, archery (5-12), and environmental education activities. We can lead a guided hike on our interpretive Folklore Trail that includes an old cabin that was built by Kentucky pioneers (1 mile loop), also on this trail we can do a tree identification lesson. We also offer seasonally a boat tour (seats 35) that will cover the history/geological features of Rough River Lake. The Recreation Department can also assist with field days- providing games and entertainment. Program fees range from $1 to $3 per student and for more information contact Sheila Jones at 270-257-2311 or 1-800-325-1713.
