The Kentucky Department of Parks is actively seeking students enrolled full-time at an accredited Kentucky post-secondary school or educational institution approved by the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet.  We are recruiting students that are majoring in Recreation or within any area of Tourism/Hospitality Management.

The specific areas we are looking to place interns in for 2013 are:
Front Desk Clerks, Recreation Leaders and Food Services positions.

After you have completed the online application process, please download, complete and email the Intern Interest Form to Ms. Tanya Bradshaw. If a student is selected to participate in the Intern Program, he or she will be notified in April 2013 to confirm their start date, their position title and their Park assignment.  Pay ranges vary from $6.955-$9.389 per hour, depending on position, experience and education level.

Selected candidates will be required to complete a Supplemental Form or academic credit agreement indicating academic credit and the type of work assignments the student must perform to receive academic credit.

To assist us in identifying enthusiastic and quality candidates, we request your help in distributing/posting these documents within your Career Services areas and within the student areas of the identified academic disciplines.  In order to complete the student selection process, we encourage student applicants to respond to this request by April 1, 2013, however we will continuously place students upon Park availability through May 1, 2013.
