Gardens

Explore two beautifully maintained Lexington Garden Club gardens which includes a perennial garden and an herb garden. Growing comes to life in the Waveland Learning Garden. Always a favorite for families to explore with their children.

Trail

For a quiet stroll, explore the old mill house structure, foot bridges, natural spring, pond and quaint .25 mile trail.

Gift Shop

Open early April to November. Closed November 30 - Mar 31 (Please note that gift shop will be open during all December events and is also available by appointment when park is closed)

Museum

Open early April to November. Closed November 30 - Mar 31 (Please note special tours during the month of December listed on our events page. Tours are also available by appointment when park is closed)

Picnicking

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the lawn of Waveland, surrounded by the beautiful Lexington countryside. Picnic tables, 2 charcoal grills and a playground are provided for your comfort and enjoyment.

Playgrounds

A playground is located near the picnic area.

Tours

A tour guide will share with you the historical treasures of Waveland and the Bryan family. The tour also includes the outbuildings, where guests learn about slave life in Kentucky.

Monday & Tuesday -- Closed
Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Note: Last tour starts at 4:00 pm.

Tours are available by appointment from January to March.
Group tours available with advanced scheduling.
