Fort Boonesborough Foundation


The mission of the Fort Boonesborough Foundation is to sustain, foster, and promote quality programming at Fort Boonesborough State Park. The majority of historical, craft, and educational programs at Fort Boonesborough and Boone Station Historic Site are supported by funding from the foundation.

Boone Society


The Boone Society was formed as a reference service for researchers, a conduit for genealogists, clearing-house for bibliographical works, and to host the biennial Boone Family Reunion.

Camping


Enjoy camping on the banks of the Kentucky River. The campground offers 167 sites with electricity and water hookups. An activities building can accommodate 150 people, and a central service building provides showers, rest rooms, and laundry facilities. There is a small grocery at the check-in area. Open year-round. Restrooms and water fill-up available year-round. Four pull-throughs are open year-round. Email: booncamp@bellsouth.net.

Pool


A junior Olympic-size swimming pool features a water slide, misty fountain, and children’s area. A sand beach is available for sunbathing. While at the pool enjoy your favorite treats from the snack bar!

Pool Hours Memorial Day through Labor Day: 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Tuesday-Saturday and Noon to 6PM on Sunday. Please call ahead to confirm pool hours which are determined by seasonal help availability. Lifeguard-protected.

 

Fort

Fort Boonesborough has been reconstructed as a working fort complete with cabins, blockhouses and furnishings. Resident artisans perform craft demonstrations and give modern-day visitors a true sense of what life was like for pioneers in Kentucky.

• The Fort is open Apr. 17 - Oct. 31, 9:00am to 5:00pm, Wed - Sun
• Winter Hours: Nov. 1 - Apr. 16, 10:00am to 4:00pm,  Fri - Sun
• $8 adults, $5 children (6 to 12) w/admission to KY River Museum included on weekends
• Children under 6 free
• Student group of ten or more $3.00
• Adult group of ten of more $6.00 each
