Whatever your interests, our campgrounds have the facilities to meet your needs and offer some of the best camping in Kentucky. From primitive camping to full service RV camping; the Kentucky State Parks welcome you, your family, and friends to experience the natural beauty that Kentucky has to offer.
In addition to traditional tent and RV campgrounds in Kentucky, our state parks also offer five equestrian campgrounds for horse enthusiasts. Also, for our guests who would like to experience camping for the first time, we offer camper cabins at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park and fully equipped camping units at Columbus-Belmont State Park for some of the best camping in Kentucky. Those who want to stay indoors should take a look at other options such as Kentucky cabin rentals or state park lodges.

Campground Reservations Q & A
How do you reserve a spot?
Access the online reservation application and pick your favorite spot and dates, and reserve the site with a credit card.
What is your best advice to campers new to the system?
Act fast. The most sought after dates and sites are sure to be reserved quickly.
How far in advance can I reserve my spot?
You can reserve a campsite up to a year in advance. Reservations will not be accepted within 48 hours of arrival.
For how long can I make a reservation?
You can reserve a site for up to 14 days. Longer stays require a park manager’s approval.
What if I decide to go camping at the last minute?
A phone call to the state park will let you know what campsites are still available for that night.
What if I can’t keep my reservation?
A cancellation fee will be assessed. The fee is $10 with 15 days or more notice. If the notice is shorter than that, the first night’s fee also will be charged.
