Moonlight Canoe Trip Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park
We will use the almost full moon to guide us over the water to see what creatures are using the lake. Trips will last about 2 hours on the water. Bring water, bug spray, and flashlight. Fee: $25/canoe.
Participants must be 10+ years. Must register one week before the canoe trip. Six canoes are available. Groups may schedule their own personal trip on other dates close to the full moon. For more info call 800-325-1711 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Dam Triathlon: Rough River Dam State Resort Park
Rough River Dam State Resort Park teams up with the US Army Corps of Engineers and major event sponsor, The Friends of Rough River, to hold the annual "The Dam Triathlon" on August 12, 2017. Starting at Rough River Beach, contestants paddle 7.2 miles, then bike 9.6 miles, and finish with 2.2 mile run/walk. Individual times kept and trophies awarded.
