2nd Friday Bluegrass Jam

Rough River Dam State Resort Park
Bluegrass Jam every 2nd Friday of the month! Enjoy some of the finest Bluegrass Music found anywhere when the Breckinridge County Bluegrass Music Association brings you Friday Night Bluegrass at Rough River Dam State Resort Park. Summer 2017 Concert in the Park Series
Rough River Dam State Resort Park
Rough River Dam State Resort Park hosts their annual Summer Concert in the Park series.  Concerts take place on the park's lovely patio located just outside Grayson's Landing Restaurant most Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The patio is reserved for dining patrons but those wishing to just listen to concert can bring a chair and set up on the hillside.  Grayson's Landing Restaurant serves dinner nightly from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cash bar available. Call the park directly for more information at 1-800-325-1713 and make sure to wear your dancing shoes!

Backyard Concert Series
Butler-Turpin State Historic House
General Butler State Resort Park, and The Friends of Butler will again host a series of concerts called, Backyard Concert Series. Free concerts, beginning @ 7:00 PM located on the backyard of Butler-Turpin State Historic House located in the Park's Back Entrance.  From May - August, 1 concert date per month, will showcase a variety of music genres.

Lake Cumberland Blues Harbor Fest
Lake Cumberland State Resort Park
Blues Harbor Fest is full of Great Blues Music!!! Come join us in the Harbor between State Dock & Jamestown Marina near Clifty Creek Saturday, June 17th 2017 from Noon to 5'ish central time. The State Dock Marina is located inside the Lake Cumberland State Resort Park.  (For Lodging, call the park at 270-343-3111).

Performance on the Harbor will be from the Chase Walker Band!!! 
The Chase Walker Band is an American blues, roots rock and soul band based in Nashville TN and Riverside CA. Exploding onto the scene with genuine hell raisin', vinyl-worthy American blues rock and soul, Chase Walker’s guitar virtuosity, powerful vocals, and roof raising performances landed him on NBC’s The Voice in 2016, and garnered comparisons to greats like Johnny Lang and Rory Gallagher.

After the Blues Harbor entertainment we will be having another Blues Band Guest to join us for the evening on the State Dock Stage!! Starting at 7pm central time you can come enjoy Great food, beverages and Blues Music!!

Summer Splash & Houseboat Hop
Nolin Lake State Park
Don't miss out on this unique summer celebration! Depart Moutardier Marina and follow the parade of boats to Nolin Lake State Park and listen to music along the way. Then park your boat and enjoy an evening of music. We will have food and product vendors, and activities for the family at Nolin Lake State Park. Pioneer Days Festival
Old Fort Harrod State Park
One of central Kentucky's fastest growing festivals, we offer live music, great demonstrations, car show, great food, inflatables, animal corral and much more.  With OVER  100 vendors last year and more expected this year, there will be plenty for everyone to see, do and even shop for.  Great family environment under the shade trees of Old Fort Harrod State Park. Fraley Festival of Traditional Music

Carter Caves State Resort Park
Traditional musical instruments such as the dulcimer, fiddle and guitar are used to tell stories about a life long ago along the foothills of Eastern Kentucky.  The music at the Fraley Festival has not been confined to any one type. Folk, old-time, western, western swing, early country, and others are played on a regular basis at the festival. There are all sorts of musical configurations, from family bands or husband and wife duets, to people playing on stage who just met each other a few minutes ago in the parking lot. 

Wednesday night is a free “jamming in the round” session at the Recreation Shelter House in the campground. Concerts will be held in the Park Amphitheatre on Thursday evening, Friday afternoon & evening, and Saturday afternoon & evening.  Concert fees range from $4-$10.  A $25 weekend pass is available which admits you to all the concerts and jam sessions. Fort Harrod Jazz & Art Festival
Old Fort Harrod State Park
Come and enjoy world class Jazz and much more at this fast growing festival. Bring your lawn chair and spend the day ,or two listing to great live music in the park.  Food vendors are ready to supply you with great food so you can stay and listen all day.  Event is free to the public. Salt Festival
Big Bone Lick State Historic Site
Journey back in time as Big Bone Lick returns to days long past.  The festival features demonstrations of pioneer living and skills, frontier ingenuity, traditions, and lifeways.  Browse the crafter's corner to seen the many handmade and hand-crafted items for sale and find lots of good eats at the food court.  Enjoy folk and bluegrass music, listen to a storyteller, view prehistoric Ice Age artifacts, and watch a blacksmith working red-hot iron.  See how salt was extracted from the waters of Big Bone, watch a flintknapper make a stone point, and discover how bison hair was spun into yarn.

While visiting the park, be sure to drop by the park's museum and visitor's center to see some of the "big bones"; a shuttle can will transport event-goers to and from the festival field to the center at regular intervals.  For more info call (859) 384-3522 or email Dean.Henson@ky.gov.

Bluesgrass
Pine Mountain State Resort Park
The first Friday of each month June through September award winning local bands will grace the Laurel Cove amphitheater with the sounds of  Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, and more!  
Concerts begin June 2nd, 2017 with live shows 6-9.   
The Mountain View Restaurant will cater each event with BBQ, Catfish, and all your favorite sides!
Refreshments and adult beverages will be available as well, including draft beers!

*RAIN OR SHINE*   While Laurel Cove is an amazing venue, we do occasionally have rain.  No fear! We have a shelter and event tents to provide a dry option in case of less than favorable weather.

Natural Bridge Hoedown
Natural Bridge State Resort Park
The famous Natural Bridge Hoedowns have been a popular tradition at Natural Bridge for over 45 years!  Natural Bridge State Resort Park and square dance caller, Jane Bolin, invite you on Saturdays from May through mid-October to Hoedown Island for some easy to learn Appalachian square dancing, line dancing, two-stepping, polka’s, waltzes and other couple and individual dances.  The warm-up dance starts at 6:30 pm and the regular dance program begins at 7:30 pm.  Admission is $3.00/person (ages 12 & under are free). ***As an outdoor event, there is the possibility of cancellation if inclement weather is forecast or occurs.
