They include elk viewing tours, looking for eagles in Western Kentucky and watching sandhill cranes as they migrate through Kentucky.

Eagle Watch Weekends
Parks in western Kentucky will offer Eagle Watch Weekends in 2018. The parks and dates are Lake Barkley State Resort Park near Cadiz, Jan. 19-21; Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Calvert City, Jan. 26-28; and Kenlake State Resort Park near Aurora, Feb. 2-4 and 9-10. Tours are conducted by van and aboard the CQ Princess yacht with wildlife guides. Call the parks for more information and reservations. All three parks have lodges, cottages and restaurants.

Elk Viewing Tours
Elk Viewing Tours are underway at Jenny Wiley State Resort Park in Prestonsburg this fall and will continue through March 2018. This is one of several excellent wildlife viewing tours offered by the Kentucky State Parks. Visit the website calendar at http://parks.ky.gov/things_to_do/calendar/
or call the park for dates. Trips are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. This includes a van tour and a continental breakfast. The park also offers tour packages for $160 a couple that includes lodging. Special group and business tours are available.

Sandhill Cranes - Nature Watch Weekends
Barren River Lake State Resort Park
near Glasgow will offer its Nature Watch Weekends for sandhill cranes January 19-21 and 26-28, 2018. Participants can register for trips led by naturalists. Registration is $45 per adult and $30 per child 8-12 years old (must be at least 8 years old to go on van tours). The registration fee includes all educational sessions, a box lunch, a long sleeve t-shirt, and your choice of a morning or afternoon tour by van.
