Learn of the incredible journey Monarch Butterflies take as they migrate south for the winter! A naturalist-led presentation will teach about these beautiful creatures. Then take part in citizen-science, as we caravan to a site of outdoor Monarch tagging. Tags and butterfly nets will be provided. We’ll show you how it’s done! The outdoor tagging event (2-3 hours) is weather dependent. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Prepare for weedy/marshy conditions. Saturday presentations will meet in the park at Lakeview Shelter. Sunday presentations will be indoors at the Audubon Museum. Cost: $5/person; Family rate (4 or more in same family) is $15; Friends of Audubon member rate is $4/person.
