DETAILS:

The cure for cabin fever is to... get out the cabin!  Join a park naturalist for a 1 - 2.5 mile winter guided hike to one of Kentucky's most famous arches, the Natural Bridge.  Participants will get to enjoy the plants, animals, and rock formations along the way.  The trail difficulty for these hikes will be moderate to difficult.  Routes for each hike may be different depending on the weather and trail conditions.  The cost for each hike is $5/person which can be paid at the front desk of the Hemlock Lodge upon arrival (no pre-registration necessary).  Each hike will depart the Hemlock Lodge lobby at 1:30pm and will last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.  Participants should dress for winter weather conditions and also bring a snack and drink for the hike. If severe winter weather is forecast, a hike may need to be cancelled.  For more information, contact Park Naturalist, Brian Gasdorf at [email protected] or (606) 663-3575.
