April is Global Astronomy Month and we are pleased to offer an evening of learning and star gazing at the Battlefield to kick off the celebration! This night we will be joined by Dean Regas of the Cincinnati Observatory and host of the Public Television show Star Gazing.

The Spring Sky

A lecture in the Worthington Lodge will start at 8 P.M. where you will learn how to identify stars, constellations, and planets of the season. Dean will be speaking on how to find directions and do basic celestial navigation as well as demonstrate upcoming special astronomical events in 2023. Following the lecture, Dean will make available some of his books for purchase and personalization - He will offer an opportunity for all to view the night sky through a telescope at the boat ramp parking lot (weather permitting).
