Kentucky State Park Easter Buffet
 

Enjoy the Easter holiday at a Kentucky State Park! Plan to bring your family to a Kentucky State Resort Park for the annual Easter buffet on April 12, 2020, for a great holiday meal. The menu at the resort park restaurants includes roast beef carved on the line, baked country ham, fresh fruit, garden vegetables, salad and desserts. Each of the resort parks serving the buffet will also offer two additional regional entrees.


The price for adults is $19.99, and children (12 and under) are $9.99, not including tax, tip or beverage. The buffet will be served from noon and end at various times. Buckhorn Lake State Resort Parks will be serving a reduced menu buffet. Kenlake State Resort Park will not be serving the Easter buffet.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park, Lucas
Bunny Breakfast, April 11

Make reservations for the Bunny Breakfast at Barren River Lake State Resort Park! Enjoy breakfast, listen to a storybook, create a craft and take home an Easter surprise!
Breakfast is served anytime from 7-9 a.m. Craft and story hour begins at 9 a.m. Reservations are required! Register by 5 p.m., April 10, 2020 (No refunds after April 1)
Your reservation should be for all members of your group. When you arrive on the morning of the event you will be able to pick up your ticket packet at the front desk. The packet will include meal tickets and program tickets for each member of your group. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for ages 4-12 and $3 for ages 3 and under. Big Bone Lick State Historic Site, Union
Easter Egg Hunt, April 11

Join the Friends of Big Bone and park staff for an Easter egg hunt April 11! Eggs will be hidden throughout the Mastodon shelter and playground area for all ages to find! This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Please meet at the Mastodon Shelter at 1 p.m. Call 859-384-3522.

 

Carter Caves State Resort Park, Olive Hill
Easter Weekend Getaway, April 10-12

Carter Caves State Resort Park will have family oriented recreation programs throughout the weekend. This includes egg coloring, scavenger hunting and other fun recreational program opportunities. On Easter Day, the park will serve the Easter Buffet and will host the annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Friends of Carter Caves with over 1,000 eggs for children 12 and under. The egg hunt will start promptly at 2 p.m. at the Welcome Center. Tours of Cascade and X-cave will be on a regular schedule. Call 606-286-4411.

Brunch With the Easter Bunny, April 11

Have brunch with the Easter Bunny on Saturday April 11 at Carter Caves! Begin the morning by arriving at 10 a.m. for photo time with the Easter Bunny. While you wait, enjoy some craft time with your child. Then, dine from a delicious buffet prepared by Phillip Donald at Tierney's Cavern. Call for reservation at 606-286-4411. Tickets are $15/Adult $15/Child. (Children's cost includes a 5X7 picture with the Easter Bunny)

 

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, Corbin
Easter Egg Hunt, April 12

Meet at the pavilion behind the pool for Cumberland Falls State Resort Park Easter Egg Hunt! Prizes will be awarded to three age groups. Free. For ages 10 and under. Gates open at 2 p.m. and the egg hunt starts at 2:30 p.m. Call 606-528-4121.

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park, Burkesville

Egg-Citing Easter Fest, April 3-5

Visit Fort Boonesborough State Park for an Easter celebration with lots of activities. We will have scheduled times for bingo, Easter crafts, an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, free putt-putt and tours, camper decoration contest, and a whole lot more. John James Audubon State Park, Henderson
Eggstravaganza Art, April 4

Bring your little bunnies ages 3-8, for a boppin’ good time at the annual Eggstravaganza Art at John James Audubon State Park Museum, on Saturday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. Children will enjoy creating and painting their very own bunny to take home. Lake Cumberland State Resort Park’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be joining us for all the fun! My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Bardstown
Meadows in the Bloom, March 16-April 12

The park’s special Victorian Easter tour, "Meadows in the Bloom," will showcase all of the fun and unusual Easter customs of the 19th century! See the historic mansion "My Old Kentucky Home" decorated for the Easter holiday! On display in the mansion's library is our Easter tree with hand decorated eggs! Learn the amazing process of how eggs were painted in the Victorian Era. See what are considered today to be highly odd, even weird, Easter greeting cards, and see a nearly 200 year old Easter cross made of wax flowers and hand detailed greenery made by one of the original owners of My Old Kentucky Home. The mansion's dining room will be decorated for an Easter dinner, with fine china, silver, flowers, and beautiful streamers in Easter colors. Admission: $14 per adult.
