Treat Mom to an outing with an experience she will cherish always! Not to mention a handmade gift that will last forever! Painting with Mom registration includes an instructional class with local artist Suzie Michelle. The class will include all required materials and refreshments.

Paranormal Investigations

Join park staff and the ESP Encounters of Supernatural Phenomena investigators for a night of paranormal investigation! We will be using a variety of investigative tools to explore various areas throughout the park. May 13 is Junior Paranormal Investigation night! Participants 16 and under are welcome to participate with an adult accompanying them. Please meet at the Museum at 8:30 p.m. *PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED* Recommended for ages 16+. Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park
Licking River Paddling Trip
Saturday, May 13, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
A tributary of the mighty Ohio River, the Licking River meanders over 300 miles - stretching from southeast Kentucky all the way towards Cincinnati. As part of your experience, you will be transported to the launch point (Tanner Station Fort area) and traverse the river to a ford where Revolutionary soldiers once crossed before engaging in battle with British forces and then offload at the boat ramp and ultimately returning to the lodge. All transportation is provided. The meeting point for this trip is the Worthington Lodge Parking lot - look for a canoe trailer! Canoes, paddles, life vests and a guide are included. We have extra-large and youth size life vests available along with adult sizes but these are limited. Reservations for this trip are to be made at least one hour prior to trip departure. Payment can be made at the lodge front desk prior to the meeting time or by submitting exact cash amounts to the guide at the meeting point. Packed water is required. Snacks, headwear, and sunscreen are highly recommended. As space and life vest types are limited, reservations are required – please call 859-289-5507 or email [email protected] to schedule (Weather dependent - notification of cancellation of will be made at least two hours prior to trip start time through social media). Signing a liability waiver is required, so those under eighteen years of age must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver and accompany them for the entire paddling tour. Cost is $20.00 per person ($10.00 for campers or lodge residents).

Clean out your closets and let your junk or arts and crafts become your fellow camper's treasures! Set up and sell right on your campsite. A $10.00 set up fee will be charged in addition to the regular camping fee. This event is for registered campers only to sell but the general public is welcome to come shop. Earth Mothers Hike

It's Mother's Day weekend, so bring Mom and the whole family out to the park for this free springtime hike! Our naturalist will lead you on a 1-mile hike in our nature preserve woods. Several stops along the way with hands-on demonstrations, will allow you to experience some interesting facts about nature’s animal mothers and their offspring. Our trails are hilly, so wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Facial masks will be required in times that social distancing is not possible. Meet on the Audubon Museum front lawn. Sustainability Saturdays

Sustainability Saturdays cover an array of demonstrations, projects, and guest speakers focused on approachable sustainability minded practices and programming. These will be relevant to the time of year, with seasonal flair, offered in a casual environment. Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site
Springfest
Saturday, May 13
Springfest will highlight the importance of the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site working together with the Kentucky Nature Preserve and how both can work together to preserve, educate, and interpret nature, such as bees, butterflies, wildflowers and native wildlife. Organizations such as the Bluegrass Green Source, Wild Ones, the Garden Club of Kentucky, and other organizations will have booths set up where the public can talk to the different organizations. During the day, visitors will attend lectures about how to set up your own wildflower garden, your own monarch butterfly waystation, and other subjects. Catfish Tournament

All ages are invited to participate in this first CATFISH TOURNAMENT held this May 13. Entry fee is $10.00 per adult and $5.00 for youth 10 and younger.
