Description

Experience the roar of artillery, the thunder of horses racing across the battlefield, and the crash of musketry as Civil War Living Historians recreate the Battle of Perryville. On October 8-9, 2022 the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site will host the 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Perryville.

Join us for a weekend of history as you walk through recreated Civil War camps and talk to Living History Historians. Listen to one of the scheduled lectures and take a guided tour of the battlefield. Visit the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site museum and see artifacts used by the men who fought in the battle. A special exhibit featuring Kentucky’s Medal of Honor recipients will be on display as well. Snack on some delicious offerings from food trucks as you shop at the sutlers village. Make plans to attend this special event and enjoy savings on your advanced ticket purchase.

The Perryville Battlefield would like to thank Earl Zeckman, Grand Army of the Republic, Hunter Poytress, Army of the Deep South, and Scott Johnson, Tennessee Valley Battalion in coordinating the logistics of running the 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Perryville.
