Have you ever wondered what is so special about Big Bone Lick? Or why it have such a funny name? This program will answer all those questions and more! The program begins with a discussion of the natural and geologic history of Big Bone Lick followed by a guided tour of the diorama pit, Big Bone Creek trail, and concludes at the main salt-sulfur spring on the park. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the park's vast history from 450 million years ago, through the Ice Age, to present while walking 0.5 miles in total.

Meet park interpretive staff and volunteers at the Museum to be included in the tour. No preregistration or reservations required.

Be sure to dress appropriate to the weather as the majority of this tour is outdoors. Layers and sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
