The weekend kicks off Friday night with the band “Lightly Blended Unplugged” from 8- 11 p.m. A park karaoke will follow. On Saturday, enjoy a prime rib dinner 4-8 p.m. and then dance to the tunes of a DJ 8-midnight. The park is offering one and two night lodging packages starting at $229 a couple plus tax and fees. General Butler is planning a great Valentine Weekend! It starts Friday with a buffet dinner for $20.95 a person. Start out by attending our museum curator's presentation, "Lucy and John James: A Love Story" at 12:30 p.m. at the Audubon Museum. Learn about Lucy and John James’ enduring love story and her crucial role in the making of the Birds of America. Without Lucy’s steadfast love and strength, the world may never have known of John James Audubon!
Then at 2 p.m., head out onto the Audubon trails together for an enjoyable stroll along a 1-mile guided hike. Experience the mid-winter woods together this Valentine's weekend.

Valentine’s Day Tea, Feb. 14
Looking for something fun, unique and different to do with your sweetie? Waveland State Historic site is hosting two teas on Valentine’s Day! Tea will be served at 2 p.m. and 6:30 on Friday, Feb. 14. Teas will be in the mansion on fine china. All teas include a savory food, not to mention the delicious tea served by period dressed interpreters. Once you are finished with the tea enjoy a tour of the Waveland Mansion. A unique one-of-a-kind experience! Reservations are required.
Tickets are $30 per person. A credit card is needed to secure your reservation. Any changes or cancellations will need to be made by noon on Feb. 10.
