Eagle Watch Weekends
Parks in western Kentucky will offer Eagle Watch Weekends in 2019. Here are the dates and parks to contact:
Jan. 11-13 at Kentucky Dam Village: 270-362-4271

Each park is offering overnight packages. Eagle tours are conducted from the CQ Princess, a 96-foot yacht that has a heated cabin. Each weekend includes Friday and Saturday night educational sessions.
Elk Viewing Tours
Elk Viewing Tours are returning to Jenny Wiley State Resort Park in Prestonsburg will continue through March 2019. This is one of several excellent wildlife viewing tours offered by the Kentucky State Parks. Call the park for information and reservations. Morning and evening van trips are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. This includes a van tour and a continental breakfast. The park also offers tour packages for $160 a couple that includes overnight lodging. Special group and business tours are available. Tours for winter 2019 are being offered on Jan. 12, 19; Feb. 2,9,16,23 and March 2,3,9,10.

Sandhill Cranes - Nature Watch Weekends
Barren River Lake State Resort Park
near Glasgow will offer its Nature Watch Weekend for sandhill cranes January 23-27, 2019. Participants can register for trips led by naturalists. Registration is $45 per adult, $40 for seniors, and $30 per child 8-12 years old (must be at least 8 years old to go on van tours). The registration fee includes all educational sessions, a box lunch, a long sleeve t-shirt, and your choice of a morning or afternoon tour by van.
