Lake Barkley "Boots Randolph" Golf Course
DescriptionALERT: State park golf courses are open. However, golf courses have taken precautions during the outbreak. Those steps include such things as closing pro shops to drive thru service only, and spacing tee times 20 minutes apart. Golf cart rentals will resume June 1 with one person or a family per cart. The golf courses have removed bunker rakes, and made modifications to the flagsticks to help eliminate the spreading of the virus.
Lake Barkley “Boots Randolph” Golf Course located in beautiful Cadiz, Kentucky on the border of Land Between the Lakes, lies this wonderful test of golf. This course has a meandering stream that is fed by the Big Blue Spring that will come into play on half of the holes. Both nines are laid out along the valley floor with no blind shots. Most of the fairways are tree lined, and nearly all of the greens are well bunkered. A difficult hole is #6, a 517-yard, par 5, with a ninety-degree dogleg left fairway and a well-protected green.
Designed by E. Lawrence Packard, ASGCA, the Boots Randolph golf course opened in 1972.
