Historic flooding and severe weather has impacted Kentucky State Parks, and we are working diligently to ensure the safety of our visitors. Here’s the latest status on closures:
- Nolin Lake State Park (boat ramp - open)
- Fort Boonesborough State Park campground
- Green River Lake State Park campground
- E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park - southeast corner of the Goose Creek/Biking Trail
- Barren River Lake State Resort Park beach
- Jenny Wiley State Resort Park lodge, cabins, & campground
We are excited about ongoing projects to improve our facilities. The following campgrounds are closed currently for renovations including upgraded electric, water connections, parking pads and more:
- Carter Caves State Resort Park Campground (re-opening January 2026)
- Kenlake State Resort Park Campground (re-opening March 2026)
- My Old Kentucky Home State Park Campground (re-opening Labor Day)
- Taylorsville State Park Campground (re-opening October 2025)
- Yatesville State Park Campground (re-opening Labor Day)
