Many of our state parks offer lake and river access. Spend the day at our nine designated swimming beaches and five community pools. Some of our lodges and campgrounds also offer private pools for overnight guests.
When is Swimming Season?@Model.HeadlineTag>
Memorial Day weekend is the official start for swimming season and the opening day for most pools and beaches. Swimming areas are marked and guests are asked to read and follow the safety rules that are posted. Swimming season generally runs through Labor Day each year.

Severe weather and flooding can affect access to beaches and swimming pools may be undergoing maintenance. ALERTs for swimming pool and beach closures are posted at the top of the park's individual webpage when available.
