Paddling in Kentucky

There are numerous streams and lakes along Kentucky State Parks for paddlers, offering everything from flat-water to whitewater!

Non-motorized lake rentals, such as canoes, kayaks, pedalboats and stand-up paddle boards are available for a fee at many state parks. Call your park of choice for more information on pricing as rental fees differ from park to park.

Two parks have kayak/canoe access only campgrounds.

They are Yatesville Lake State Park and Jenny Wiley State Resort Park. To reserve one of these sites at Yatesville Lake, CLICK HERE and to reserve a paddle/boat-in campsite at Jenny Wiley call (606) 889-1790.
