Writing Workshop

Here’s a New Kentucky Home opportunity to workshop your own poems with Kentucky Poet Laureate Kathleen Driskell, also an award-winning teacher of creative writing. Submit up to three (3) poems (no more than five pages) to be discussed during our sessions together. Between workshopping sessions, poets are invited to guided nature walks at Pine Mountain State Resort Park. 

• Open to all levels, from beginning to advanced.
• Open to all genres and categories of poetry.
• Retreat spots are limited, and registration is first come, first served.

Cost:

• Single Occupancy - $500 plus tax
• Double Occupancy- $652 plus tax
• Includes: Two Nights Lodging, Five Meals (Friday Dinner; Saturday Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner; Sunday Breakfast) and the workshop

Check in: 4 p.m. on Friday, October 30

Check out: 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 1

Event begins on Friday, October 30, with 4:30 p.m. optional short hike and opening program at 7 p.m. Event closes at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 1.
