Join acclaimed authors Frank X Walker and Crystal Wilkinson for an inspiring and immersive writing workshop set against the scenic backdrop of Kentucky State Parks. This unique experience offers writers of all levels the opportunity to engage with two of Kentucky’s finest literary voices in an intimate, creative environment.

Over the course of the workshop, participants will explore various aspects of the writing process, from crafting compelling narratives to finding their authentic voice. Frank X. Walker, a renowned poet and founder of the Affrilachian Poets, brings his deep knowledge of the intersection of identity, place, and storytelling. Crystal Wilkinson, an award-winning novelist and short story writer, will guide participants through the art of character development, vivid settings, and the nuances of Southern Appalachian life.

The workshop will include guided writing exercises, group discussions, and plenty of opportunities for personal reflection, all set in the tranquil beauty of Kentucky's natural landscapes. Participants will leave the workshop with new insights into their writing, tools to enhance their craft, and a deeper connection to the literary traditions of Kentucky.

Whether you're a seasoned writer or just beginning your creative journey, this workshop offers a supportive and enriching space to grow your writing skills, connect with fellow writers, and find inspiration in Kentucky’s storied landscapes.

Guests will learn from both Frank X and Crystal Wilkinson in individual, alternating workshops. The workshops are open to all levels of writers – from novice to advanced.
